A Snipet of Me

Family is “my invisible force” that keeps me grounded in my drive to be a better person and goal to succeed, so those around me can have a comfortable, safe, positive, and nurturing home environment. I was always raised to believe that what you put into your life is what you get out of it. Whether positive or negative my parents had embedded that I have a direct and indirect impact on the people I build my experiences with; thus, everything comes full-circle because nothing happens just because.



I AM A…
I am a wife and mother to Greg (husband), Lily, Taylor, and Jolene (daughters). They are my invisible force that drives me to persevere through challenges that get in the way. As a wife and mother, I will always love them forever unconditionally. They make me a better person and define who I want to be—a role model for them to look upon. A moral compass that guides them in their times of darkness and steers them into a reasonable direction.

I am an educator for Collier County School District. I work and serve my students in order to gainfully assist them into their future with success. Although I’ve been teaching for 22-years, I still have the stamina to become better at my art of teaching. I will facilitate, lead, encourage, and provide those who I touch with the desire to become a life-long learner. What I do and say directly and indirectly changes and affect my students I teach. I love what I do, and I would not trade my career in education. An educator of students, teachers, parents, and community—we are share-holders of education and the future.

I am a student at Florida Gulf Coast University, and on my journey of becoming one of the best of the best Reading teachers in my school district. I’m on the road of improving oral language, phonological and phonemic awareness, fluency, vocabulary, and comprehension. I am who I make myself to be—proactive in educating those who are thinkers, readers, writers, and learners.
